Mobile Life
“These paintings belong to ‘Mobile Life’, a project on which I am currently working. The works explore images of mobile dwellings as metaphors for dislocation in an age of mass migrations and political change. I am exploring connections between travel, shifting environments and the need for a space to live. External and internal views of caravans and mobile homes (representing identities) are painted onto textural and patterned backgrounds suggesting fluidity and movement.”
